Health and safety

Safety of all our families is paramount. We want everyone who attends our sessions to enjoy the cooking fun in a safe and secure environment. Please don’t come along to a session if you or your child is unwell.

All children remain your responsibility while at Creative Kitchen sessions, we ask all children to be closely supervised throughout and that you enjoy our activities together.

All our staff hold an up to date enhanced disclose, are first aid and allergy awareness trained.

Creative Kitchen will provide a short briefing at the beginning of the session to demonstrate how utensils can be used in a safe way. However, personal loss, injury, damage, neglect, or involvement to or by you and any other attendee will not be the liability of Creative Kitchen.

Our sessions are hands on, and all participants are expected to be aware and act appropriately.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to assist younger children when needed. Parents and carers are responsible for the safety of their children throughout the sessions and whilst arriving and leaving the premises.

Special dietary requirements

We want everyone to have the opportunity to participate in our creative cooking classes. We do cater for special dietary requirements. All staff are allergy awareness trained however we are not and do not profess to be medical experts, therefore we will ask parents or guardians to carefully consider their child’s conditions before agreeing to their involvement in a class. If a child has any allergies or special dietary requirement you must notify us at the time of booking so we can prepare food accordingly. When booking please do give as much information as possible. If we do not receive a notification of specific food allergies or dietary requirements before the session, we cannot guarantee foods to be suitable and therefore anyone with an allergy may need to be excluded for safety reasons.

Our sessions should be enjoyable for all. All children and families are expected to behaviour in a civilised manner. If your child is harming another member of the group or being disruptive to the running of the session, we kindly ask that you remove the child until the said behaviour has stopped. Creative Kitchen reserves the right to ask anyone not behaving as expected to leave the session.
